christine greenberg, queen bee
Christine started planning her wedding with her VCU sweetheart in 2011. Joy quickly turned to loss when he passed away from brain cancer. Through her pain, she pushed and realized that wedding planning could be a career for her. Her first wedding was with a lovely couple in September 2011 at Pippin Hill Farm + Vineyards, the same place she was supposed to marry her late fiance.
Christine continued to plan weddings under the name 'Wood Grain & Lace Events' as a side hustle until she decided to leave her full-time job in 2013. She hired Ciera a month later and they recruited a team of assistants to help them grow the company. The team is now 4 full-time planners and 7 assistants.
In 2014, Christine opened a bridal boutique with her mother called 'Urban Set Bride' and maintains 12 planning clients a year.
In 2018, the team decided they were ready to refresh and WGL transformed into the Hive Wedding Collective!
