Park Ceremony + fun cocktail party reception

Jeff proposed to Paulyn on the roof of the Quirk Hotel while it was still under construction. So, they knew they wanted to celebrate their marriage with their closest family + friends on the very same spot.

The rundown:

Guest Count: 65

Planner Notes:

The couple get their guest list cozy, so they could invest in personalized touches, great food and really enjoy their time with their family/friends. The weather was what wedding planners dream of and it turned out to be the perfect little Richmond wedding.

From enamel pins representing the hotel, the park and their beloved pup, Beaux, to planned jaunts around the city with the photographer, Valerie, this couple new what to invest in and what to skip.

The incorporated Filipino traditions, soft blushes and creams with pops of bright colors and a touch of whimsy to all of their decor choices. They let the Quirk backdrop do its job and we stuck with air plants and greenery swags to bring an organic vibe to the industrial rooftop space.

Where do I even begin? If you are a bride to be sitting there debating whether or not you want to hire someone to help you with your wedding be it full service or day of coordination, and trying to determine if it’s worth the expense, let me tell you: IT IS WORTH MORE THAN YOU’RE GOING TO SPEND. PROBABLY TENFOLD.

When you are planning your wedding and dealing with things like, divorced parents and the sticky situations that presents (or even just dealing with family, period), or trying to find awesome yet reasonably priced vendors for everything from flowers to a DJ and an officiant, you will be so thankful and relieved you have someone to turn to. And on the day of your wedding, you can just relax and coast and know that you have the best team that will tackle anything and everything for you so you can focus on what’s most important: enjoying your day and being present with those you love.

Christine and her team were wonderful to work with. No detail was too small and no problem too big. I could email or call them about anything and everything and they were there to help. I should mention that I purchased the month-of coordination package, but really, Christine worked with me way beyond that. We started working together nearly a year out from my date and she was there to help the whole time.

My wedding day was flawless and a total dream, and I have Christine and the team at Wood Grain & Lace to thank for that. Hiring her was the best decision I made next to choosing to marry my now husband.
